*Imām Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said : Zina (fornication and adultery) gathers within it all forms of evil: weakness of faith, the loss of piety, the corruption of noble character, and the absence of protective jealousy.*
You will not find a person who commits zina possessing true piety, loyalty to promises, honesty in speech, faithfulness to friends, or sincere jealousy for their family. Treachery, lying, betrayal, shamelessness, lack of consciousness of ALlah, disregard for sanctities, and the extinction of jealousy from the heart are all among its branches and consequences.
Among its consequences is the anger of the Lord, for it violates His sacred boundaries and corrupts His servants. If a man were to commit such an act against the household of a worldly king, he would be met with the harshest punishment so how then with the King of Kings (ALlah)?!!!
Among its effects are the darkness and disgrace upon the face, and the gloom, hatred, and hatred and detestation that become apparent to those who look upon the one that commits Zina.
Among them is the darkness of the heart and the extinguishing of its light and it is this inner darkness that causes the face itself to be deprived of its radiance and covered in gloom.
Among its consequences is persistent poverty. In a narration, Allah says:
“I am Allah, the Destroyer of the tyrants and the Impoverisher of the fornicators.”
Among them is that it strips the sinner of honor, causing him to fall from the sight of his Lord and from the respect of His servants.
Among the consequences of Zina is that it deprives the fornicator of the most beautiful names such as: chastity, righteousness, and integrity and replaces them with their opposites: the immoral, the sinful, the fornicator, and the traitor........
