REMEMBER DEATH — THE TRUE REMINDER

Death is not a story.

It is not far.

It is a promise from Allah that no soul can escape.

“Every soul shall taste death.”
(Qur’an 3:185)

Young or old.

Rich or poor.

Healthy or sick.

Death does not ask for permission.

We plan our lives as if we will live forever,
yet we forget that the grave is our first home of the Hereafter.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Remember often the destroyer of pleasures (death).”

Why?
Because remembering death:

♦Softens the heart

♦♦Reduces attachment to sins

♦♦Makes you serious about ṣalāh

♦♦Pushes you to repent and do good

♦♦One day, people will cry for you.

♦♦One day, you will be carried on shoulders.

♦♦One day, your deeds will speak for you — and nothing else.

♦♦Prepare now.

♦♦Repent now.

♦♦Return to Allah now.

Tomorrow is not promised.

Meet Allah with a heart He is pleased with.
