Glad tidings to the one who busies himself with examining his own defects rather than the defects of others

*Salaamun 'alaykum wa rahmat-ul-lahi wa barakātuh*

_In the name of Allaah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) ._

🎙️Wahb ibn Munabbih said:

*“Glad tidings to the one who busies himself with examining his own defects rather than the defects of others.*

Blessed is the one who humbles himself for Allah without degrading himself, who extends mercy to those marked by lowliness and poverty,

who gives in charity from wealth he has acquired without sin,

who sits in the company of people distinguished by knowledge, forbearance, and wisdom,

*and whom the Sunnah has sufficed—so that he does not transgress beyond it into innovation.”*

*May Allaah accept our ibaadat and forgive our shortcomings.*
