```🎙️From Abu Hurairah who said that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said:
تُعْرَضُ الأعمالُ يومَ الاثنينِ والخميسِ، فأُحِبُّ أن يُعْرَضَ عملي وأنا صائمٌ
'Good deeds are presented on Mondays and Thursdays and I love that my deeds are presented whilst I am fasting.
[Collected by Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Ahmad and authenticated by Al-Albaani]
From Ayesha RadhiAllaahu anha who said:
كانَ النَّبيُّ ﷺ يتحرّى صومَ الاثنينِ والخَميسِ
'The Prophet ﷺ would have great concern with fasting on Mondays and Thursdays.'
[Collected by Tirmidhi, Nisa’ee, Ibn Majah, Ahmad and authenticated by Al-Albaani]
🎙️Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen Rahimahullaah said:
'Two great days when good deeds are presented to Allaah, therefore, it is necessary to increase in good deeds on those two days.
From good deeds is to fast those two days. The Prophet -alayhi as-Salat wa sallam- would have great concern with fasting on those two days, except if he became busy with someone.
Sometimes he would fast consecutively and perhaps not fast consecutively, this was all dependent upon him being free or occupied.'
📚 [Sharh Riyadh as-Saliheen 3/326-327]
🎙️Shaykh Zayed al-Madkhali Rahimahullaah said:
'Truly a Muslim choosing to fast an optional fast, and leaving what the soul is accustomed to from food and drink etc is indeed a truthful evidence, certain proof of that person loving Allaah and him reviving the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ.'
📚 [Al-Manhaj al-Qawweem fee at-Ta'asee bi Rasool al-Kareem ﷺ p.246]```
