Salaamun 'alaykum wa rahmat-ul-lahi wa barakātuh
_In the name of Allaah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) ._
🎙️Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said,
"If you fear Allah, repent from your sins and seek His forgiveness, nobody can overpower you.”
📚 [Majmu Al-Fatawa, 178/1]

Allah says in surah al-Nisa':
[إِن تَجْتَنِبُوا كَبَائِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُم مُّدْخَلًا كَرِيمًا]
If you avoid the major sins that you have been forbidden from, We will expiate your minor sins from you and admit you to a gracious entrance. [31]
🎙️Ibn 'Abbaas said, "The major sins are any sin which Allah has followed up with a mention of hellfire, His anger, a curse, or punishment."
He also said, "Their number is closer to seventy than seven."
And in another narration he said, "They are closer to seven hundred than seven, however no sin is major in the face of seeking forgiveness and no sin is minor in the face of persistence."
📚 [Tawfiq al-Rahman 1/261, with these narrations coming from Tafsir al-Tabari 8/246 and Tafsir al-Baghawi 2/202]
May Allaah accept our ibaadat, forgive our shortcomings and save us from Allaah's Anger, punishment of the Grave and Hellfire.
Keep Reminding, for Indeed the ʀᴇᴍɪɴᴅᴇʀ ʙᴇɴᴇꜰɪᴛs ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴇʟɪᴇᴠᴇʀ
